This website was designed and built by Tri-C’s Visual Communication/Web & Interactive Media students. Two classes participated in the process; the Web II class (VCIM-1750) of Fall 2014, and the Service Learning class (VCIM-2071) of Spring, 2015. For more information about the team members, read on! Angela Berlingeri, Instructor

Angela is a long time design and technology professional. Her focus is twofold; higher education/design education with a strong emphasis on web and interactive media, animation and motion graphics. She is also a Design Director with Convey360, a branding and design firm in North East Ohio.

The goal of this project was to teach students to work with clients, responding to business challenges with design & technology solutions.


Gail French

Gail has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Paralegal Studies from Kent State University. She is currently pursuing Certificates in Web Design & Development and Programming & Development at Cuyahoga Community College. She is an avid knitter with several years of e-commerce experience in the Arts & Crafts Industry. Organized, clean and simple design is what she focuses on creating.

Sana Murad

Sana Murad has a Bachelor of Architecture degree and is currently working on a Certificate of Web Design & Development at Cuyahoga Community College. She has a passion for all things design, from architectural design to web design. Her goal is to pursue a successful career in the field of web design & development.

Andrew Broka

Andrew is a Freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator residing in Cleveland, Ohio. He recently graduated from Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate of Business Degree for Graphic Design and in May of 2015, will also earn a degree in Illustration. He specializes in vector illustration, logo design, and is currently working on two different children’s books.

Lauren Holloway

Lauren is an AmeriCorps Alum with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Web Design & Development from Cuyahoga Community College. She is passionate about service and the nonprofit industry. Her goal is to use her background in sociology, passion for serving others and skills in web design and development to transform the nonprofit world.

Eric is currently enrolled in Cuyahoga Community College. He is currently pursuing a dual degree and certificate in Web design and Video game development. His dream is to make video games that are widely available across both Mac and PC systems and have immersive stories and worlds. His goal is to find a job he loves and to stick to it.

Cole Ackerman

Cole Ackerman is an aspiring game designer. He was born and raised in the Greater Cleveland area and made a small five year detour in the United States Marine Corps. He is also a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. He has always had a huge passion for video games and art, and is determined and enthusiastic about his goals and future in the field.

Cheri Kocmit

An ‘05 graduate from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication Technology. Her creative career started while doing freelance invitations and wedding stationary. Cheri has worked as a Graphic Designer for 8 years in the automotive aftermarket industry. She is now adding to her portfolio while gaining web experience as she strives to complete the Web Design and Development Certificate.

Jacob Sommerfeld

He is a website developer with a focus on usability and user customizable options. Since 2010 he has been developing websites. He prefers to make websites with a CMS to give more power to the user.  He has made some WordPress plugins, as well as some other cool stuff, which you can find on his portfolio site.

Sean Michael Shea

Sean is currently enrolled at Cuyahoga Community College for Web & Interactive Media and will be graduating May of 2015 with an Associates Degree. Although Sean has taken classes in animation, 3d design, 2d design and mobile design, his main focus of studies were in Web Development. During this project Sean spent most of his time fixing bugs from the previous team and updating content. Sean’s goal is to continue his education and obtain a job for Web Development.
