A Better Place for Women Opens its Doors…
August 27, 2010 – Cleveland, OH –
Women suffering from alcohol and drug addiction now have a better place to go.
Community Assessment & Treatment Services, Inc. (CATS) has opened the doors to its
new women’s residential and outpatient center that adjoins the men’s residential and
administrative offices. This state-of-the-art, LEED certified 48 bed facility, was made
possible by a number of funders and supporters, including but not limited to The Federal
Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati; The Huntington National Bank; The Eva L. and Joseph M.
Bruening Foundation; The Cleveland Foundation; Alexander and Sarah Cutler; The
Deaconess Community Foundation; The Thomas H. White Foundation, a KeyBank Trust;
The Higley Fund; The Third Federal Foundation; The Abington Foundation; The Woodruff
Foundation; The Steffee Fund; and The Wolpert Fund. Design, construction and project
management team included Studio TECHNE, Westropp Building Company, and The Project
Alliance. CATS is certified by The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services,
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, The American Correctional
Association and is a contract agency of The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health
Services Board of Cuyahoga County.
An open house is scheduled for Friday, September 24, 2010 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at
