Duties & Responsibilities
Cash/Banking

A. Responsible for receiving and recording all copies of all incoming checks, remittance advises and direct deposits to general ledger.

  • Responsible for the proper preparation and delivery of deposits to the financial institutions used by the Agency on the schedule indicated by the Chief Financial Officer.

B. Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of all deposits and savings accounts for review and approval by the Chief Financial Officer.

C. Responsible for the proper administration and accounting for Petty Cash transactions and for the preparation of the request for replenishment of Petty Cash for approval by the Chief Financial Officer.

I. Accounts Payable

  • Prepares sequential batches of vouchered A/P transactions to insure proper source documents are in evidence and proper account codes affixed to individual voucher prior to submission to Chief Financial Officer for review and subsequent approval by the Chief Executive Officer. Ensures that approved vouchered accounts payable transactions are recorded in general ledger for check preparation on a weekly basis.

II. Prepares routine monthly journal entries to general ledger to be reviewed and

   approved by Chief Financial Officer.

III. Responsible for the collection, audit and deposit of funds related to the WIP program.

IV. Responsible for maintaining a client ledger to ensure that funds in Agency custody are properly accounted for. 

V. Monitors and reimburses bus pass program.

VI. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

· Proficient with numerical calculation and accounting functions.

· Excellent organizational and filing skills.

· Meticulous attention to detail.

· Familiarity with a variety of PC applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Net Suite, Oracle).

· Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment.

Credentials / Academic Requirements:

Associates Degree; Bachelor Degree Preferred

Three (3) to Five (5) years of job-related experience.
